I love this picture I think I've shared it before? I think...I took it last year...somewhere in the city. I'm so inspired by London, the smell (nice ones of course) , the people, the fashion, the architecture, the different cultures etc. The buildings have some amazing sculptures. I'm always snapping away and uploading to my #iCAPTURE FACEBOOK album and INSTAGRAM. I miss living so close to the city, I'm now 3 hrs away. :-(
I do love to go when it's not too busy though as I get PAVEMENT /SIDEWALK RAGE. Lol I remember walking through one night thinking am I really going to leave London to move to LA...? (Yikes!)
Occasionally I have second thoughts but I know what my heart wants. Hope you all had a great weekend? Spoke to soon about the great weather eh? April showers go away...WE WANT SUNSHINE!!!

Happy Friday all! :-) It's the weekend...time to relax. Yay! (sigh) If you follow my FACEBOOK page, you may have already seen this picture of my salad I posted the other day. Prawn salad is my new favourite. It was so bloody yummy and super easy to make. It's basically like a Cobb Salad but replaced with prawns. I just chuck everything in there...peppery rocket, tomatoes, cucumber, sweetcorn etc. Fry the prawns and add them. Ta da!

Now I've hit 30 the grey hairs are sneaking up like a plague, it wouldn't bother me if it grew in one place like Rogue from X-men, but it's random areas of my scalp especially the front. :-(  At the moment my hair is in its growth spurt phase so colouring will be frequent for me. I wanted to share a trick my hairdresser taught me back when I had purple hair. I had a rinse back then so the upkeep was alot and got rather messy, she suggested I mix the rinse/dye with conditioner, so simple right? This changed my dye application LIFE! It makes the application and clean up process so easy. I recommend using a moisturising conditioner as colouring can leave the hair feeling brittle depending on what kind of dye you use. I use a dye where you just add water. I follow up with the usual routine of shampooing  thoroughly and doing an intense deep condition.

P.s. I like to let the dye sit for a while and oxidize, to help the process I cover it with cling film. From my experience the colour takes to my hair better this way. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Yesterday evening while chatting to a friend I realised I had my hand clenched for years. I opened my hand and there was nothing. I was holding onto something that didn't exist, it never existed. You see..it was an illusion fathomed in my mind by false truths, nurtured by a fictitious reality that could never breathe life because the standards in which this reality could exist, could only be by the false illusions in which it was created. It wasn't born, it did not give birth, it appeared like a rash suddenly, irritating on the surface. It came from deep within a place of hurt. My hands are dry because they're open. They can see, they can breathe. I've LET GO.

So a while back...I wanna say early March I had an appointment I had to attend in the morning and afterwards stopped for tea at this cafe. It's the cafe in Catfords Broadway Theatre. I'm so in love with the interior, the whole vibe and ambience. Kinda reminds me of Central Perk from the hit US sitcom Friends. I've had this post in draft for ages and couldn't not share this pic of the decor. It's snazzy right? Is that even a word? Haha I wish I took more pictures, maybe next time. Did I mention there's FREE WiFi.

Have you ever frequented somewhere a million times and not noticed something that's always been there? Well...that's what happened to me during my broadway adventures. I found some stores that I walked passed all the time but had never taken any notice of, to my surprise I ended up picking up some great things. Look out for reviews as I'll mention them in future posts. It's so funny because the flower market that I go to often is right around the corner.

Hope you've all been enjoying this lovely burst of April sunshine we've been having? I know I have, I love being able to work in different locations and be inspired by my surroundings. It can become frustrating being in the same space too often. Yesterday I was trying to draw something and it just wasn't happening...took me a minute to realise I needed a change of scenery. Talk to you all later "Happy Hump Day!"

Don't forget to follow me on TWITTERINSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK I'm also on SNAPCHAT: @IAMKSI but I still don't get it? I don't know how to use it? Lol

Hello all! :-) I wanted to bring my "Memory Lane" segment to the main blog and not just the GALLERY. I thought it might be fun to put a twist on it. This series will feature stories that may be good, bad and ugly but overall I hope you're entertained.

So...let's go waaaaaayyyyy back to...I wanna say 9/10 yr old me? Yes, I think that's when this happened. It was a nice hot summer day and my friends and I decided to go rollerblading. I loved rollerblading or skating I should say because I had on skates my other friend had blades and the other two were on bikes. We would skate and ride our bikes underneath a place we called the "Arches" it was a free space underneath the block of flats which linked the opposite buildings together. We would skate there and have fun, racing each other doing tricks and what not seeing who was the fastest.

Adjacent to the opposite flats were pathways...we called them "slopes" that was the street slang for it back in my day. Haha
Anyway I can't remember whose idea it was but we all agreed to go down the slopes holding unto each other like a train. I was very reluctant but my friend reassured me she wasn't going to let go. I kept asking her and she promised. I bet you can guess what happened next right...? :-(

The two friends that were on the bikes were in front, my friend on blades was behind and I behind her...skating skating skating...wobbling, skating, she LET GO and I FELL! BAM!
I fell in a way where I scraped my knees and the skin came off! You could see the white flesh it was so disgusting, blood was dripping down my knees...it was horrific. I had on my red penguin shorts that day too. I remember crying all the way home which was a minute a way but as soon as I got in I stopped.

I immediately went to the kitchen but my mum was there, I quickly tried to adjust my shorts so she wouldn't notice, but of course she did with the blood dripping down. Lol (Duhhh K├ęsiena!)
She asked me what happened and I told her...I got the usual telling off and then she cleaned me up and applied the stinging healing spray, I can't remember it's correct name but the spray stung so bad when applied. It healed cuts and abrasions within a day or two. It had a very strong smell and was bright orange, it became the "go to" treatment for accidents in our household.
Ever since that accident I never attempted the "train slope" again or wore shorts when skating. P.s. I still have faint scars on my knees 20/21 years later.  :-)

I hope you enjoyed this little time travel back into Memory Lane with me let me know what you think below.

You guys, you guys, you guuuuuuyyyyysssss! Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!
I have been searching high and low for a planner that will change my LIFE! (I joke) But seriously...I've been on a quest to find a planner that was inexpensive, looked good and customizable. Well...I have good news, I found everything I was looking for in my Dokibook Planner. Check out my scrappy unboxing video below:

I also picked up a bunch of these lovely stickers from the 99p Store. They had a deal going so I took advantage. :-) Gotta love the 99p Store right? You can find anything in there...note to self, must pick up post it notes!

I find it hilarious that stickers...reward stickers especially, motivate me to get things done. How geeky am I? :-) I've always loved the A5/A6 sized planners they're comfortable to carry around when I need to. I'm really trying to be organised how I used to be. I've also noticed my memory is getting SO BAD not sure if it's due to something else but I often can't recall what happened a week/day before and it's a bit frightening. :-( Prior to this planner I'd been using my phone but let's be honest, you can't go wrong with a hard copy. And before my phone I was using this style in A5 and A6 size 2 years earlier:

It's a very nice compact faux leather planner, I really loved it and was sad when I couldn't locate it again. They used to be stocked in the 99p Store every year around Christmas time. :-( Do any of you like using planners? What's your favourite brand?

I'm not sure what's going on with my hair right now but it's really loving keratin conditioning treatments. I've been using the Creightons Keratin Pro Professional Haircare brand. You can purchase it hereSavers, Poundland, the 99p Store and Poundworld. Last night I did an overnight DC and covered with a plastic cap, when I rinsed the conditioner out my hair felt strengthened and voluminous. I've also noticed with this conditioner it really defines my texture making the curls pop! Sometimes I use this conditioner to cowash as a balancer when there's too much moisture in my hair. This is a great product to cowash with if your hair's not protein sensitive. I cowash with just about anything, I'm not too picky. My hair loves cowashing along with Black Tea Rinses.

What is cowashing you ask?
Cowashing is when you wash/cleanse the lengths of your hair with conditioner. There are different kinds of conditioners you can cowash with and there are some specifically for cowashing. For me personally, I love to cowash with conditioners that have great slip. Slip is a feeling in which the product glides through your hair with ease leaving it tangle free almost feeling like silk. :-) I hope I described that well. My usual cowash routine consists of me cleansing my scalp with lemon juice, by spraying it directly to my scalp, applying EVOO, EVCO and Castor Oil as a prepoo which I leave on for around 15-20 minutes then I cowash with my conditioner of choice. If I'm being really good I'll go under the steamer with my prepoo. :-)

Product Claims: Keratin Pro is professionally formulated with Keratin which helps to reduce frizz, leaving hair feeling effortlessly silky smooth and more manageable.

Keratin Pro Smooth & Strengthen Conditioner deeply replenishes moisture from root to tip, reducing frizz, leaving hair feeling silky soft and more manageable. Suitable for all hair types.

Directions: Deliver a small pool of product into your palm before smoothing the product through the mid-lenghths and ends of damp hair. Gently run through with fingers and then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

What I love most about this conditioner is when washing, your hair has that slip that all us Hairlistas look for but upon rinsing and airdrying your hair is left feeling stronger than Samson. Lol The formula is nice too, it's creamy with a gel consistency.
It does have a strong scent...so if you don't like that it may not be for you.

INGREDIENTS: Aqua (Water), Cetyl Alcohol, Coca mode MEA, Stearamidopropyl Dimethyl amine, Cetrimonium Chloride, Parfum (Fragrance), Citric Acid, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Bisamino PEG/PPG-41/3 Amino ethyl PG-PROPYL Dimethicone, Pathenol, Disodu EDTA, Benzophenone-4, Tocopherol Acetate, Phenoxyethan, Ethylhexyglycerin, Hexyl Cinnamal.

Keratin is an extremely strong protein that is a major component in hair, skin, nails, hooves, horns and teeth. The amino acids which combine to form it have several unique properties and depending on the levels of various  amino acids, it can be inflexible and hard, like hooves, or soft as is the case with skin.

Do any of you like to Keratin cowash? If so what products do you use?

In my previous post I mentioned my love for Reebok Freestyle Hi Tops. Well...a few weeks ago I picked up these bad boys. They are the Freestyle Hi Horween, you can get them from here. I absolutely love them, they're such great quality and very well made. The leather is buttery and soft, just great quality overall. Reebok high tops are so comfortable and come in array of different styles and colours. I still remember when I got my first pair way back when. :-) They're a classic that will never go out of style. They can paired with just about anything. I might do a Reebok Hi Top collection if anyone is interested. :-)

Hello all! HAPPY EASTER! :-) I hope you're all enjoying the Easter holidays. The weather's been lovely down here in London. Spring has sprung. Lol A few showers here and there but nothing major. Since I last posted I'm now 1 year older...the big 30. I can't believe I made it to 30, it has been a battle I tell ya. :-/ I really wanna take the time to say thank you to the people that helped me make it to this point, my friends (you know who you are) my brother (MY ROCK) etc. All the people that never gave up on me when I felt like giving up on myself. From the bottom of my left arterie THANKYOU & I LOVE YOU. Grandpa Cade and Moody I honestly don't know what I would've done without you guys. Xx

Anyhoodle enough of the soppy stuff...I have so much to share, I don't even know where to start! I have always loved Reebok Freestyle Hi Tops but have recently developed an obsession in collecting them, this is definitely a phase. LOL
